Made in Montana

Today we received approval from the “Made in Montana” program! This program helps Montana businesses to mark their products as being authentic: “That means products are grown, created, made, and/or enhanced in the state resulting in 50% or more in added-value.” We are proud to be part of this special network, as our craftsmanship enhances the value of alpaca fiber at every step. Raw fiber has limited market value, but once it has been processed into yarn, it has become more valuable, as it is more useable in that form. We use our computerized knitting machine to create accessories from that yarn, taking an animal product and transforming it into a wearable garment. Alpacas provide a renewable resource every year, growing fiber that needs to be shorn. These animals are gentle on the land and are relatively easy to maintain. They are personable creatures that grow exquisite fiber, which as a garment, is both functional and luxurious to the wearer. We can now proudly place the Made in Montana label on our products.
