Item Alpaca fiber is a natural, renewable material with unique characteristics. It’s classified as an animal protein fiber, comparable to sheep’s wool, mohair, and cashmere. Here are its key qualities:
Softness: Alpaca feels softer than other animal fibers due to uniform micron size and lower-scale structure.
Hypoallergenic: It lacks lanolin, making it less likely to cause allergic reactions.
Water-Repellent: Alpaca resists external water penetration but can wick away perspiration.
Fire-Resistant: It meets safety standards for flame resistance.
Antimicrobial: Alpaca fiber is indeed antimicrobial.
Antibacterial: Additionally, alpaca woolen products require less washing due to their antibacterial features, which help reduce odor in garments.

Proper care ensures your alpaca clothing stays luxurious and lasts longer. Here are some easy care instructions:
• Hand-Washing: Gently wash in warm water with mild soap (mild shampoo works too). Rinse thoroughly in water of the same temperature. Avoid wringing or twisting wet alpaca fabric.
• Drying: Press excess water from the garment, lay it on a dry towel, and ease it back into shape. Roll up in the towel to remove more water. Air dry flat—never hang it.
• Stains: For stubborn stains, consider dry cleaning. Machine washing is not recommended, but if you choose to, secure the garment in a tied pillowcase on a gentle cycle with cool water. Remember, alpaca clothing deserves gentle care to maintain its softness and longevity
