Alpaca Fiber: A renewable resource.

Alpaca fiber is a natural renewable resource. Animals are shorn every year and their fiber comes in 16 official colors. Beautiful creations can be crafted without the need of dye.

Alpaca does not have lanolin, so it requires less washing during processing than wool. This also makes it hypoallergenic for those with sensitive skin.

The scales on the fiber are closer to the shaft. This makes alpaca fiber feel softer to touch than wool, reducing the “prickle” factor.

Alpaca fiber is antimicrobial, antibacterial and antifungal. Due to its hollow core, this fiber can wick moisture away well and trap heat, while feeling lighter than wool.
