Production!

As soon as we completed our training on bind-offs, we began knitting our full-length scarves. It’s amazing to watch how every stitch is individually transferred from one needle to the next, to close the fabric off. This weekend, our machine has been running nearly non-stop. We have managed to fine-tune the program so each scarf is knitted without any interruption or errors. During the development stages, we have been able to get a feel for the alpaca yarn and its behavior, and we have played with different stitch lengths and knit designs. There are so many possibilities and not enough time in the day to get it all done!

We are now working on adding to our inventory and will update the products page on this website as new designs are knitted. Our machine runs production while we continue to design and test new products. There are so many amazing treasures in the works, we cannot wait to share them with you! Our first alpaca scarf is inspired by Arrowleaf Balsamroot, a natural Montana wildflower. When Doug and I worked on a ranch near West Yellowstone, the Arrowleaf Balsamroot was often one of the first flowers to bloom, signaling the beginning of summer and blanketing the hilsides in a vibrant yellow.
