What’s New?

Locally Grown Alpaca Fiber

First test swatch of locally grown yarn.

Three years in the making, and we are now knitting with locally grown alpaca fiber. This test sample was entirely grown and produced in the United States. The fiber came from a ranch in Montana, was processed into yarn in the U.S., and designed and knitted right here in our studio in Helena, Montana. Traceability at its finest! Those who follow our story will know how important this milestone has been for us, and after years of pursuing our goal, we finally reached it! With help from others, we are able to transform locally grown alpaca fiber into beautiful scarves! What a journey this has been… and it’s just the beginning.

Upcoming Tradeshows:

Catch us at one of the upcoming shows all across Montana:

  • 3/28/26 - Big Sky Arts & Craft Show - Helena Civic Center Helena, MT

  • 4/4/26 - The Prairie Sisters Vintage Market - Flathead County Fairgrounds, Kalispell, MT

  • 5/1-5/2/26 - HandMade MT - Brick Breeden Fieldhouse - Bozeman, MT

Knitwork Collaborations

Shout Out to the Alpaca Fleece Mill!

This is roving from our local Montana fiber.

During the past year, we have reached out to multiple fiber mills to help us process our locally grown alpaca fiber. One of these awesome partners is Alpaca Fleece Mill in Michigan, who is currently processing some yarn for us. In this picture you see pin drafted roving, the last step before the fiber enters the spinner, where this beautiful fiber transforms into yarn.

We are beyond thrilled to work with multiple fiber mills in this endeavor to increase our portfolio of knitwear that is made with fiber sourced in Montana. Yay for that, and look for those new scarf designs soon!
